Mine's worth NOTHING... (sobbing) Thanks for putting me in my place! :D
Google makes it sound nice in the terms of service: '...claims no ownership or control over any Content...' but that is mainly legalese to say that they don't want to be held responsible for what you post, they even have a special paragraph that says you represent to own the materials you post. But later in the earlier paragraph they throw in this little gem (not highlighted...) 'By submitting, posting or displaying Content on or through Google services which are intended to be available to members of the public, you grant Google a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, publish and distribute such Content on Google Services...' in short by posting on Google you surrender your 'exclusive' copy right and make it a non-exclusive copyright. You are free to sell additional non-exclusive copyrights - but their value is significantly less than an exclusive copyright - so yes Google thanks you.
